Properties: Colorless, greenish or brownish liquid. d1515 0.894-0.905. aD20 -7 to -11°. nD20 1.4650-1.470. Slightly sol in water; sol in 3 vols 10% alcohol; more sol in stronger alcohol; very sol in chloroform, ether. Keep well closed, cool and protected from light.

Density: d1515 0.894-0.905
Use: In perfumery; as odorant for tooth and dusting powders, ointments, etc. In manuf of rhodinol, q.v.
