Properties: Crystals from ether + petr ether, mp 108-109°. [a]D -9° (c = 1.24 in chloroform), -50.1° (c = 1.19 in methanol). uv max (ethanol): 252, 258, 264, 268 nm (log e 2.43, 2.44, 2.30, 2.18). Sol in alc, benzene, chloroform, ether, slightly in petr ether.
