Title: Thymostatin
Literature References: Calf thymic extract which markedly inhibits in vitro and in vivo the incorporation of labelled nucleosides into the DNA and RNA of lymphocytes. Also inhibited incorporation of labelled nucleosides in vitro into other cell types both lymphoid and non-lymphoid, but did not affect incorporation in vitro of labelled amino acids into cellular protein. Properties: Relatively heat stable; insol in chloroform but sol in chloroform-methanol (2:1).
