Properties: Needle-like crystals, mp 190-191°; bp ~309-310° (dec). d422 1.978. Very pungent odor only when hot. Sublimes in needles. Almost insol in water (8 mg in 100 ml). Freely sol in alc, ether; sol in benzene; slightly sol in cold petr ether. LD50 in male, female rats (mg/kg): 146, 175 orally (Gaines).
