Properties: Highly explosive! White crystalline solid, mp 281°. Non-hygroscopic. Four polymorphic forms: a, b, g and d. Stability at 300 K: b>a>g>d. b is stable at room temp; a at 115-156°C; g at 156°C; d at ~170-279°C. Density (g/cm3): b=1.903; a=1.87; g=1.82; d=1.78. Practically insol in water.
