Properties: Crystals, dec 232-234°. [a]D20 +49.4° (c = 1 in water). [a]D25 +50.0° (c = 1 in aq NaOH adjusted to pH 10). uv max at pH 2: 279 nm (e 13.0); at pH 12: 272 nm (e 8.90). pKa1 0.8; pKa2 4.28; pKa3 6.0. Moderately sol in water; more sol than 2¢-cytidylic acid.
