Properties: Crystals. Discolors in the air. Does not melt below 400°. Insol in cold water, in ether, chloroform; sparingly sol in hot water; sol in solns of alkali hydroxides, in ammonia and in sulfuric acid. Forms a slightly sol lead salt.
