Properties: Gas; disagreeable odor; mp -120°; bp 18°. Vapor pressure 580 mm Hg at 6°; 388 mm at 0°. Dec at room temp in a few hours. Dec rapidly at 100°. Ignites spontaneously in air or oxygen. Hydrolyzes in water to boric acid and hydrogen. Reacts with ammonia to form a tetraammoniate.
