Properties: Nearly colorless or yellowish, corrosive liquid; fumes in the air. d416 2.44. Solidif ~5°. bp 180°. nD20 1.651. Dec by water into HCl and selenious acid. Miscible with carbon tetrachloride, chloroform, carbon disulfide, benzene, toluene. It is an excellent solvent for many substances including metals. LD50 s.c. in rabbits: 7 mg/kg (Wilber).
