Literature References: Made by mixing 18 ml HNO3, 82 ml HCl. In addition to the free acids, it contains nitrosyl chloride (NOCl) and some free chlorine.
Properties: Yellow, fuming, corrosive, volatile liq; suffocating odor; attacks all metals including gold and platinum. Miscible with water. Keep in well-closed, glass-stoppered bottles in a cool place and protected from light.
CAUTION: Undiluted form is a strong irritant, corrosive.
