Properties: Needles from ethanol, dec 222-228°. [a]D21 +116° (c = 0.10 in 90% ethanol). uv max (ethanol): 345 nm. Sol in ethanol, chloroform, acetone, glacial acetic acid, pyridine. Insol in ether, benzene, amyl acetate, glycerol. Very slightly sol in water.
