Properties: Crystals from alc, dec 217-218°. [a]D27 -14.3 ± 1° (c = 2 in chloroform). uv max (ethanol): 240, 278, 285-286 nm (log e 4.08, 3.37, 3.35). Sol in chloroform; sparingly sol in methanol, ethanol, ethyl acetate, benzene, ether. Practically insol in petr ether, water.
Optical Rotation: [a]D27 -14.3 ± 1° (c = 2 in chloroform)
Absorption maximum: uv max (ethanol): 240, 278, 285-286 nm (log e 4.08, 3.37, 3.35)
