Properties: Clusters of crystals from ethanol, mp 268-274°; [a]D20 +75° (c = 0.825 in alc). Also reported mp 286-289°; [a]D21 +81° (c = 0.83 in ethanol), (Tschesche, 1964). uv max (methanol): 295 nm (log e 1.84). Slightly sol in water, freely in alcohol. Practically insol in ether.
Melting point: mp 268-274°; mp 286-289°
Optical Rotation: [a]D20 +75° (c = 0.825 in alc); [a]D21 +81° (c = 0.83 in ethanol)
