Properties: Odorless, white crystalline solid, mp 238-240° (dec). Sol in alcohol, dimethylformamide; sparingly sol in acetone; slightly sol in benzene; very slightly sol in 0.1M HCl. Practically insol in isooctane and water (0.02 mg/ml). Stable in acid and base in range of pH 1 to 12. uv max (0.1N HCl): 319, 232 nm (A1%1cm 740, 670).
