Properties: Needles or prisms from benzene. mp 156-161°. Freely sol in alc, ether, chloroform, acetone; sparingly sol in water, benzene. Less soluble in ligroin than pseudoaspidinol, mp 116.5°. Sol in NaOH solns. Practically insol in Na2CO3 solns.
