Properties: Brown to yellow needles. On careful heating sublimes forming yellow leaflets. mp 264°. Sol in alcohol, benzene. Yields 2-aminophenazine and small amounts of phenazine when heated with zinc dust.
Melting point: mp 264°
Use: Detection of bismuth, cadmium, lead, copper, and mercury.
