Properties: Yellowish-green needles or leaflets from xylene, mp 257°. Absorption max (alc): 423.5, 412, 399, 379, 356, 345, 329, 314.5, 302, 289.5, 257.5, 245 nm. Sol in benzene, xylene; sparingly sol in alcohol, ether. Solns exhibit blue fluorescence in daylight.
