Properties: Leaflets from water, dec 249-250°. Weak acid, Ka: 1.6´10-6. pH of satd aqueous soln at 25° = 3.15. Soly in water (g/100 ml): 2.83 (0°); 23.7 (65°). Sparingly sol in alc, practically insol in ether. Sol in concd HCl from which it crystallizes without change. Forms ammonium and sodium salts.
