Properties: Brownish-yellow needles with a bluish cast. mp 128°. bp above 360°. Slightly sol in water; freely sol in alc, benzene, chloroform, ether. Reduces alcoholic ammoniacal AgNO3.

Boiling point: bp above 360°
Use: In form of its salts in dyeing; intermediate in manuf of Acid Yellow, diazo dyes and indulines.
