Properties: Scarlet-red, cryst powder. Sublimes at 250°. Insol in water, acetic acid, ammonia. Sol in dil mineral acids and appreciably sol in abs alcohol.
Use: As sun-fast pigment in paints, lacquers, cellulose compounds and cosmetics.
