Literature References: The composition used in European pharmaceutical dispensing practice is as follows: three lbs CaCl2.2H2O, two lbs NaCl, 1½ lbs Na2CO3.10H2O and ½ lb NaHCO3. This mixture is dissolved in a bath of 50 gallons of water. Then one lb of NaHSO4.H2O is slowly added.
