Properties: Amorphous powder. Practically insol in water but readily goes into colloidal soln in alkali metal dinaphthylmethane disulfonates. The colloidal solns have strong tendency to absorb at interfaces and to form charged hydrated aggregates. LD50 orally in mice: 70 mg/kg (Goldberg).
Toxicity data: LD50 orally in mice: 70 mg/kg (Goldberg)
Use: Bactericide and fungicide for the treatment of wool, hides, leather, textiles, timber and wood-pulp, paints, adhesives.
Therap-Cat: Anti-infective (topical).
