Contains 41 to 44% organic pentavalent antimony (the acetyl content is between 6 and 7%). The manuf requires special care since the compd is both a colloid and a molecular addition compd and slight variations affect its toxicity greatly: Schmidt, Angew. Chem. 43, 963 (1930); US 1988632, C.A. 29, 1586 (1935).
Properties: Light-yellow to yellowish-brown powder. Freely sol in water forming neutral, colloidal solns. The pH of a 5% soln is between 6.5 and 7.6. A 25% soln is approx isotonic.
