Properties: Prisms from methanol, mp 199-200°. Sublimes at atmospheric pressure without dec. A monohydrate has been obtained from a satd aq soln. pKb (18°) 8.71. Very sparingly sol in water: One gram dissolves in 950 ml H2O at 22°. Sol in alcohol, ether, dil HCl. Forms easily hydrolyzed Na and K salts.
