Properties: Dihydrate, crystals or granules; loses 1H2O at 75° and all the H2O at 120°. Poisonous! mp ~850° when anhydr. Very sol in water; sol in methanol. Almost insol in ethanol, ethyl acetate, acetone, dioxane.
Melting point: mp ~850° when anhydr
Use: In the manuf of other bromides; in the prepn of phosphors.
