In making emulsions with mineral and vegetable oils, paraffin and waxes. Solvent for casein, shellac, dyes; manuf synthetic resins; increasing the penetration of organic liquids into wood and paper. In the production of lubricants for the textile industry. Pharmaceutic aid (alkalizer).
