Properties: Colorless gas. Suffocating odor. Does not attack glass. Stored in compressed form in steel cylinders. mp -129.5°. bp -43.8°. Crit temp +88°. d (liq; -100°) 1.780. d (solid; -183°) 2.095. Trouton constant 22.6. Very slowly hydrolyzed by cold water. Sol in ether, benzene.
