Properties: Orthorhombic, tasteless plates from abs alcohol, mp 93°; dec 250°. Dipole moment: 3.9. Freely sol in water, hot alcohol, acetone. Sparingly sol in cold alc. Solid and solns are stable.
Melting point: mp 93°
NOTE: Not to be confused with ammonium sulfamate or with sulfanilamide.
Use: Similar to urea in many of its reactions, but is more acidic, and can act as a dibasic acid.
