Properties: Dark brown powder. Softens at 175°; mp 181-188°; dec completely at 260°. Practically insol in water. One gram dissolves in 15 ml chloroform. Sol in oils, fats, warm petrolatum, paraffin, phenol. Slightly sol in acetone, alcohol, benzene.
Melting point: mp 181-188°
Use: Fat stain.
Therap-Cat: Has been used to promote wound healing.
Therap-Cat-Vet: Has been used to stimulate healing of wounds.
