Literature References: Volatile oil from leaves and young branches of Cupressus sempervirens L., Pinaceae. Constit. Furfural, d-pinene, d-camphene, cymene, d-terpineol, l-cadinene, sylvestrene, cypress camphor.
Properties: Yellowish liquid. d 0.88-0.89. aD20 +4 to +18°. Slightly sol in water; sol in 2-6 vols 90% alcohol. Keep well closed, cool and protected from light.
Optical Rotation: aD20 +4 to +18°
Density: d 0.88-0.89
Use: In perfumery.
