Properties: Colorless solid, mp 68-71° (tech: yellow to reddish-brown solid, mp 55-65°). Sol in water, chloroform, DMF, ethanol, acetone, xylene, other org solvents. Boiling range 200-210° (at 13 mm Hg). Hydrolyzed by acid and alkali. LD50 in rats (mg/kg): 25 orally; 600-700 dermally (Edson).
