Properties: Orthorhombic crystals from 50% aq ethanol, C33H50O8.H2O.½C2H5OH. mp 147°. [a]D20 +28° (c = 2.7 in chloroform). uv max: 211 nm (e 9140). Readily sol in chloroform and ethanol; sparingly sol in hexane and water.
